Despite the disability products and equipment landscape improving a great deal over the 43 years of DEMAND’s existence, it is still the case that many ‘off-the-shelf’ solutions are inadequate in meeting the unique needs of disabled people, especially when they live with multiple impairments and/or complicated health conditions. • The ‘Bushey Bullet’ car was built to all Greenpower standards prevailing at the time and was modified by DEMAND to enable users with limited mobility to race using hand controls.
