classiccarauctions.co.uk 97 LOT 587 Estimate: £14,000 - £18,000 1952 MG TD MIDGET A well-presented matching numbers left-hand drive 1,250cc TD from eight years current ownership. • The TD-Series Midget was the first MG sports car to feature independent double-wishbone front suspension, rack and pinion steering and twin leading-shoe front brakes • Powered by the proven 1,250cc XPAG engine with a 4-speed manual transmission, it was reputedly capable of 82mph and 26mpg • TD15333 was originally supplied, as most were, to the US in left-hand drive, returning in 1992 • First registered here on 16/10/1992 and purchased by our vendor on 24/06/2005 • Restored in the US between 1982 to 1992 with details in the history file • Finished in MG Red with excellent bodywork, good chrome and an impressive engine bay • Classic T-Series interior with white-faced Jaeger instruments, Bakelite switches and a wood-rim wheel.
