148 CCA SEPTEMBER 2022 CLASSIC CAR SALE 2 More Details Lot 841 Bid On Lot 841 Lot details Reg: ELG 173B Chassis no.: CT350580 Mileage: 18,886 MOT expiry: LOT 841 Estimate: £12,000 - £16,000 1964 TRIUMPH TR4 ROADSTER Offered from a Deceased Estate, this TR4 was last on the road in 2021 - some small items left to complete. • Entering production in 1961, the new TR4 was a wonderful mix of British brawn and Italian style • Sharp new bodywork did away with the TR3’s cutaway doors to allow for wind-down windows • The torquey four-cylinder, twin-carb TR3 engine was enlarged to 2,138cc and mated to an all- synchro four-speed ‘gearbox • On offer here is an original, UK-supplied, right-hand drive car that dates from 1964 • Purchased by the deceased owner in 2000 as a project having been off the road for many years • There is a small history file with receipts for the restoration carried out by its enthusiastic owner • It’s finished in Signal Red with silver wire wheels and a smart Tonneau cover • The restoration was to a good standard, however, some items were never finished (non original seats/carpets need fitting/ door furniture etc.) • Off the road for about a year, but is now running and driving and a simple project for a TR enthusiast Vendor condition report: Overall: 73/135 «««¶¶
