+buyer’s premium of 11% +VAT (13.2% including VAT at 20%) 41 classiccarauctions.co.uk More Details Lot 536 Bid On Lot 536 Lot details Reg: PHP 377 Chassis no.: 10044 Make: Lea-Francis Model: 14HP Four-Light Saloon LOT 536 Estimate: £ 8,000 - £10,000 1954 LEA-FRANCIS 14HP, FOUR-LIGHT SALOON A second-generation 14HP from 1954 and, essentially, one-family owned from new. • The 14HP Leaf was the most numerous of all Lea-Francis models with just over 2,000 being built between 1946 and 1954 • The 14HP, 4-Light Saloon (as here) was unusual for using a stressed-skin construction with aluminium on a mainly wooden frame, with a steel floor, giving a weight of only 25cwt • Construction of all cars finished at the end of 1953 so PHP 377 was one of the last built • With the car is an Advice Note and a Car Acceptance form from Lea-Francis Cars Ltd confirming that the car was used as a factory demonstrator until being sold to our vendor’s mother on 30/09/1954 • It was finished in Maroon with beige upholstery but is now presented in an attractive shade of blue.
