+buyer’s premium of 11% +VAT (13.2% including VAT at 20%) 63 classiccarauctions.co.uk More Details Lot 558 Bid On Lot 558 Lot details Reg: UBD 834G Chassis no.: 9T02M191907 Make: Ford Model: Mustang Mach 1 LOT 558 Estimate: £ 50,000 - £60,000 1969 FORD MUSTANG MACH 1 - “JOHN WICK” BOSS 429 RECREATION Superbly restored to recreate the Boss 429 driven by assassin John Wick played by Keanu Reeves. • Registered new in the United States in 1969 and subsequently registered to our vendor in the UK on 1st April 2021 • Superbly restored at a cost of some £25,000 with the intention of re-creating the Mustang Boss 429 from the series of John Wick films • The series follows the exploits of an international assassin played by Keanu Reeves and the Mustang features heavily in all four films • Commissioned by our vendor, the car is a faithful replication, bare-metal resprayed in “Hitman Grey” • Whilst displaying US-style ‘show’ plates from the films, the car has a UK registration number and the odometer reads 13,753 miles (atoc) • The ‘351 Windsor’ 5.7-litre V8 is mated to an automatic gearbox and the list of new parts fitted is both exhaustive and documented • This car certainly holds its own against the “Eleanor” Mustang from the 2000 film Gone in Sixty Seconds in terms of re-creations • Whilst possibly the first “John Wick” Mustang to be offered at a UK auction, the car is nonetheless a testament to our vendor’s attention to detail.
