120 CCA The Classic Car Sale at Stoneleigh Park 2024 classiccarauctions.co.uk LOT 809 Estimate: £10,000 - £12,000 1966 RENAULT 16 ‘NORMALE’ Believed to be the oldest surviving Renault 16 in the UK, now sympathetically recommissioned after long term storage. • Renault’s innovative 16 introduced the ‘hatchback’ bodystyle to the mid-size saloon market although the term was not coined until some time later • This smart example is the oldest surviving R16 in the country and one of around 50 currently active here • One of the first registered in the UK 06/04/1966, it was with its first owner for 18 months.
