classiccarauctions.co.uk + buyers premium of 12.5% plus VAT (15% incl VAT) 73 LOT 566 Estimate: £6,000 - £8,000 1964 AUSTIN MINI TRAVELLER RESTOMOD Here at CCA we specialise in Everyman Classics and this dramatically re-imagined 1.8-litre Mini Traveller is bound to suit someone. • The Mini Traveller normally needs no introduction, though this is anything but a normal 1964 Mini Traveller • Purchased by a previous owner in 2008 from an Ebay advert after being off the road for ten years, the rusty Traveller was towed home from Chipping Norton with the transformation beginning shortly afterwards • Lengthened by 10”, 5” in the middle and 5” at the front, to accommodate the MGF 1.8VVC, which also runs on LPG • Tubbed wheel arches were created, with XR3 side-skirts being added. Once the bodywork was complete, new suspension (Metro at the rear and MG F at the front) was fitted as was electric power- steering and front disc brakes from a Rover Tomcat • Finished in Dove Grey with decals to the exterior over a blue Jaguar leather interior and white MG dials in the dashboard.
