Restored some years ago and still looking crisp. • Owned initially by a Mr Mark Rose of Kent, then Harry Philips of Margate in 1953, then onto Walker Stanley Hudson in 1955. Stanley Kennard was the fourth keeper in 1964 and our lucky custodian became the fifth keeper in January 1974, some 50 years ago • JYW 779 was treated to a three-year body-off rebuild in 1990 by Davenport Cars of Sandy, an SS specialist still in business today • Brand new sills were fabricated from scratch using the original factory drawings and the engine was refreshed at the same time (previously fully rebuilt in 1973) • The interior was also totally refurbished by a Jaguar specialist with the correct materials to match the originals, West Of England headlining and brown valmour hide.
