96 CCA The Practical Classics Classic Car and Restoration Show Sale 2024 LOT 188 Estimate: £10,000 - £12,000 1968 DAIMLER V8-250 SALOON MANUAL OVERDRIVE A rare Daimler V8-250 fitted with a manual gearbox and overdrive, one of only 200. • Introduced in October 1967, the V8-250 was a minor facelift of the long-running 2.5 V8 saloon • Differences were minor; slimline bumpers and over- riders, negative-earth electrics, an alternator, padded door caps, reclining split-bench front seats and a heated rear window • Finished in Topaz Gold with a red leather interior and fitted with wire wheels • Rare factory-fitted manual gearbox with factory- fitted overdrive which works on fourth gear • Engine rebuild in 1995 and more recent restoration/ refresh (see Condition Report) • From 11 years current ownership with 82,434 miles indicated.
